Jalandhar, May 22 (UNI) A complete bandh was today observed in Jalandhar on a call given by Akal Takth in protest against Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's alleged attempt to project himself as Guru Gobind Singh All shops and other business establishements remained closed.
Hospitals and medical shops functioned as normal. Private transport vehicles remained off the road during the bandh.
On the direction of district administration all the private as well government educational institutions remained closed. However, no untoward incident was reported from any part of the city so far.
