PM, Sonia evade query on Presidential candidate

New Delhi, May 22 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said today that efforts to find a suitable candidate for the Presidential election were continuing but no decision had been taken yet.

''All efforts are being made to chose a candidate'', he said in reply to reporters' query on the sidelines of a function to celebrate the third anniversary of the UPA government in office.

Asked whether he would intend to undertake a cabinet reshuffle soon, the Prime Minister said that when there was a reshuffle, they would come to know.

UPA Chaiperson Sonia Gandhi also evaded a query on Presidential candidate as well as an AICC reshuffle.

However, asked the same question, CPI(M) Leader Prakash Karat wanted to know what the hurry was.

''The Presidential candidate will be kown sometime early next month'', he added.
