Anand, Gujarat, May 22 (UNI) Chief Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Khambhat, 50 km from here, on May 26 to inaugurate a number of schemes.
Mr Modi will flag-off the commencement of a gas pipeline project, undertaken by the GSPC, to supply gas to Khambhat city and taluka.
He will also inaugurate the ''Vikaspath Yojana'', a roads project.
Thereafter, Mr Modi will inaugurate a potable water project, ''Kaniwal Talav'', to be completed at a cost of Rs 9.75 crore.
Among the other projects to be inaugurated by the Chief Minister are the Rs 2.43-crore irrigation project ''Chorkhari checkdam yojana'', another Rs 1.5-crore irrigation project to benefit 335 hectares of land, and a water filter plant to be installed by the Khambhat civic body.
