Man-daughter killed in UP road mishap

Gorakhpur, May 22 (UNI) At least two people died and 15 others were severely injured, after an Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) bus overturned here this afternoon.

Police said the bus, en route to Padrauna from Gorakhpur, met with the accident near Turra nullah in Khurabhar area, killing two passengers on the spot.

The injured were rushed to hospital, where they were stated to be serious.

The deceased were identified as Pradeep Rawat (40) and his three-year-old daughter Muskan.

Bangalore: Thespian Rajkumar is no more. The 78-year-old actor, who strode the Kannada film world like a colossus, died of a heart attack around 2 pm on Wednesday. 130 people dead in Rajasthan floods, Govt extends help

New Delhi, Aug 28: The Centre has extended all possible assistance to Rajasthan where as many as 130 people have died in the recent floods of which 103 were in Barmer district.Three naval teams have been sent to the state along with two Indian Air Force helicopters.
