ICC chief Percy Sonn critically ill

Johannesburg, May 22 (UNI) International Cricket Council (ICC) chief Percy Sonn was today admitted to the intensive care unit at a Cape Town hospital after he developed complications following minor surgery.

His personal assistant George Hector said the 57-year-old Sonn was admitted to the hospital for a colon operation but later shifted to the ICU due to the complcations.

Sonn's immediate family was with him and he was not receiving visitors.

UK's Independent daily enters into online partnership with Al Jazeera

London, Jan.16 (ANI): The Independent, one of Britain's major dailies, has announced a new online partnership with Al Jazeera English for news bulletins from the broadcaster to appear daily on the Independent website.According to the paper, the deal, a UK exclusive, means that Al Jazeera English channel's video news bulletins, presented from the channel's broadcast centres in Doha, Kuala Lumpur, London and Washington will be regularly uploaded on to the Independent site.The content is tailored to web users.....

Al Qaeda militant behind 7/7 London attacks arrested in Pakistan
