'I have unstinted support from Sonia': Manmohan

New Delhi, May 22 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh tonight expressed his heartfelt gratitude to UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi for her ''unstinted support and cooperation'' in running the Government.

''I have been fortunate in having the unstinted support and cooperation of Soniaji. She is a source of great inspiration for us all, particularly for all poor people across the length and breath of our country,'' Dr Singh said at a function at his residence to mark the third anniversary of the UPA Government.

Asserting that the UPA had worked hard to implement the National Common Minimum Programme under the leadership of Mrs Gandhi, he said:''It is my sincere hope and firm belief that by the end of our tenure in Government we would have delivered more than we had promised.'' The Prime Minister also thanked the leaders of the Left allies and all the parties constituting the UPA for their support.

''It is their support that has given us the strength to try and redeem our pledge to our people to the best of our ability,'' he said.
