Girl sold by lover for Rs 40,000

Indore, May 22 (UNI) A teenaged minor girl, who eloped with her lover, was sold by him for Rs 40,000, police said today.

Indore-resident Rachna ran away to Sagar four months ago with Rajesh. Later, he took the 15-year-old girl to Maihar in Satna district where he sold her to Meelgaon-resident Madhav with the help of his friend Raja and his wife Mamta.

Police recovered the girl and arrested Rajesh, Raja, Mamta and Madhav recently.
