Census of cranes with people's help

Gandhinagar, May 22 (UNI) Gujarat Forest Department, in conjunction with the Gir Foundation and nature clubs across the State, will conduct a census of crane birds from June 3.

''We have requested bird watchers, farmers and general public to immediately inform the sighting of cranes,'' Gir Foundation manager C N Pandey told reporters.

Bhopal, Aug 13: New mobile clinics would start functioning in 40 tribal blocks of nine tribal-dominated districts in Madhya from August 15, Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Ajay Vishnoi has said. Imphal, Aug 7: The All Tribal Students' Union Manipur (ATSUM) has announced that it will go ahead with the indefinite agitation from August 12 if their demands are not fulfilled. Hoshiarpur, July 30: All India Gujjar Mahasabha president Col Kirori Lal Bainsla has demanded that Gujjars belonging to the Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian and Jain communities should be given be given the benefits of Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST).
