Arms, ammunition recovered from a house in Kishtwar

Jammu, May 22 (UNI) Security forces today recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunition from a house in Kishtwar thesil of Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district, official sources said.

Acting on a tip-off, the troops raided a house of one Sanullah, 55, at Dhobipura, five km north east of Kisthwar, and recovered a 12 bore gun along with 3 fired rounds and 21 rounds 7.62 mm rifle, an Army spokesman said.

Besides this, two Chinese grenades, one rpg shell, five geletin sticks, two prepared ieds in iron pipe (2'x3' each), two detonators, 60 mts electric wire and six iron sharpnel were also recovered from the house, he added.

The house owner will be handed over to police after questioning, he added.
