4th CISM military world games from Oct 14

Hyderabad, May 22 (UNI) As many as 6000 participants from 100 countries are expected to participate in the fourth CISM Military World Games, which begins in the city from October 14-21.

The significant aspect of the eight-day event was that about 25 per cent of the total participants in the show would be Olympic medalists.

The event was being organised jointly by the Indian Army and the Andhra Pradesh government, an official release said today.

London, Dec 8 (ANI): A new report has suggested that rich countries will have to help poorer nations develop alternatives to fossil fuels as well as cutting their own emissions if the world is to tackle climate change.According to the Telegraph, the new report, from the Global Climate Network, said that rich countries would have to help poorer nations develop low carbon technology so that they are pumping out less carbon from coal or oil."Industrialised countries' current proposals clearly.....

New Delhi, Feb 18: Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri will arrive here on February 20 on a three-day visit to co-chair the revived India- Pakistan Joint Commission Meeting (JCM) and have an overall review of the Composite Dialogue Process (CDP) with External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee.The Pakistan Foreign Minister who will have discussions with Mr Mukherjee, is expected to present a fresh set of proposals including the one on liberalising the 1974 visa regime between the two countries,.....

Pranab Mukherjee to visit Bangladesh Feb 19

New Delhi, Feb 18: External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee will travel to Dhaka tomorrow on a day-long visit to invite the Bangladesh leadership to attend the 14th SAARC Summit in New Delhi on April 3-4.Keeping with the convention to personally invite the leaders of SAARC countries to attend the Summit of the grouping, the External Affairs Minister has so far visited all the other countries of SAARC.Since Bangladesh is at present under a caretaker government in view.....
