Hyderabad, May 17: A Radio station, run by the Reliance group, distributed sipper bottles to traffic policemen to help them beat the heat of the scorching sun and alleviate their misery.
At a function held at the Police Control Room in the presence of City Traffic Police Commissioner M Punna Rao, BIG 92.7 FM Station Head Ashwin Padmanabhan presented the first sipper bottle. These bottles will be distributed to all the traffic police personnel of the city.
''Summer is a trying time for all and BIG FM has planned a series of activities for the benefit to the people of Hyderabad. Under a 360 degree campaign called 'Cool Maal Dhamal', we have initiated this drive to distribute Sipper Bottles to the traffic policemen. As part of this campaign, listeners too can win cool prizes like ACs and Refrigerators,'' Mr Padmanabhan said yesterday.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Rao said, ''We wholeheartedly appreciate the efforts of BIG 92.7 FM for providing sipper bottles to traffic policemen. They can just fix it in their belt.''
