Suzlon Energy Q4 net up 21.56 per cent

New Delhi, May 15: Suzlon Energy today posted a 21.56 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 437.82 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 360.16 crore for the corresponding period last year.

Its total income went up 32.79 per cent at Rs 2,097.55 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 as against Rs 1,579.60 crore during the same period last fiscal.

The company recorded a 29.22 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 1,061.14 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007 from Rs 821.19 crore a year ago.

The total income during 2006-07 climbed 41.75 per cent to Rs 5,468.47 crore as against Rs 3,857.74 crore during 2005-06.

Suzlon Energy's order book position at the end of the fiscal stands at Rs 9,486.25 crore comprising Rs 1,408.26 crore of domestic orders and Rs 8,077.99 crore of export orders, a statement said.
