ST driver dies in bus fire, rescues 21 persons

Junagadh, May 14 (UNI) A Gujarat State Transport bus driver died in a fire that broke out in the speeding bus near Sasan in the district today.

The driver Sureshbhai (42) first noticed fire from the engine and asked the 20 passengers and the conductor to alight from the bus before it engulfed it completely.

Later, he too jumped from the bus but could not surive as he succumbed to his injuries.

The bus was proceeding to Veraval from Junagadh when the incident occurred.

The nearby forest staff rushed to the site along with water tanker and doused the flames.

Tripura gets highest devpt target in 10th plan

Agartala, May 10: Tripura has surpassed five other Northeastern states in terms of development during Tenth Five Year Plan.
