SSSS says BMC's work allotment policy inappropriate

Mumbai, May 15 (UNI) Sahakari Sanstha Samanvay Sanghtana (SSSS), a contract labourers organisation, has accused the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation of meting a step-motherly treatment by not awarding much work to its members.

SSSS convenor Suresh Vidyagar, addressing a press conference here today, alleged that all BMC tenders in the eastern suburbs were being alloted to other organisations and the SSSS was being deprived of the same.

Mr Vidyasagar alleged that the BMC was following an inappropriate policy while alloting civic works. Thus, the SSSS, although it has the highest number of members, still ends up receiving much less work, he said.

TCS bags Rs 574 cr order from BSNL
