Rs 7.42 lakh robbed from SBI branch in Chhattisgarh

Korba, Chhattisgarh, May 15 (UNI) Three masked youths armed with a couple of countrymade guns robbed Rs 7.42 lakh from a State Bank of India branch in this district's Manikpur at about 1415 hrs today.

''The trio, clad in jeans, used thin towels to cover their features. The bank officials failed to use the alarm and not a single guard was on duty. The crime took place during peak business time,'' Superintendent of Police Himanshu Gupta told UNI
