Preparation in full swing for 'Bangalore Bio 2007'

Bangalore, May 15: Key issues which determines the future of Biotechnology industry will be dealt in detail during the Seventh edition of India's biggest biotech event Bangalore Bio 2007, to be held in the city from June seven to nine.

'Think BIG, Think Biotechnology, Think Innovation, Think Growth' would be the focal theme of the this year's mega event.

A Conference titled 'Accelerating BT Industry growth through Integrated Innovation,' would be held during the three-day event.

Official sources said that preparations are in full swing for this year's edition which will be held at Bangalore International Centre on 10th mile Tumkur Road.

Over the last six years, Bangalore Bio, hosted by Government of Karnataka, had been the preferred destination for experts, practitioners, manufacturers, researchers, scientists and key decision makers to seek and set new direction for the emerging sector.

More than 75 international and national speakers and over 600 delegates from industry, academia, R and D and policy makers are expected to participate in the Conference. During the show there would be International Trade show, CEO Conclave, Poster Session, Multi-track International Conference, Agribiotech day, Awards Nite, BYB Forum, Industry Trails and Career Forum.

The last day of the conference had been earmarked as Agribiotech Conference day, which would showcase India's experience and progress in this field.

The sources said that the pertinent issues that would be discussed during the conference include frontier technologies and innovations in R and D, Finance and marketing informatics, partnering and co-development in non clinical and clinical drug development and affordable diagnostics, industry relevant human resources development, intellectual property rights and regulatory issues and food biotechnology.

Lunar rock-like material may be used to build future Moon colonies
