Naveen meets Paswan, Baalu

New Delhi, May 15 (UNI) Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today welcomed the Centre's decision to revive the closed down fertilisers units under it, including the one located at Talcher.

In a meeting with Union Chemicals and Fertilisers Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, he requested him to take up the case of Fertiliser Corporation of India (FCI) plant in Talcher in the first phase itself and assured him of all cooperation.

He met Union Transport Minister T R Baalu and took up the issue of repairs of highways in the state.

Naveen Patnaik visits train mishap site

Jajpur, Feb 14, (ANI): Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday visited the site of the Jajpur railway station where Howrah-Chennai Coromandel Express derailed yesterday.According to reports, 15 people were killed and another 100 injured after the derailment of the train.More than 1,500 people were aboard the train at the time of derailment.Naveen Patnaik along with railway officials took a stock of the situation and assured that the State authorities would offer all possible help to.....
