CDPO arrested for accepting bribe

Patna, May 15 (UNI) The Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) of Bakhtiarpur was today arrested by the sleuths of the state Vigilance Bureau while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000.

Vigilance sources here said following the complaint of one Rinku Devi that CDPO Indu Kumari had demanded a donation of Rs 10,000 for appointing her as an assistant at the Champapur Aanganwadi centre, the sleuths laid a trap and caught the CDPO red-handed while she was accepting the bribe.

We are not pulling out of Bengal: Ratan Tata

Kolkata, Dec 27: Giving a boost to the Left Front government in West Bengal, Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata today announced that there was no question of taking the small car project to some other state.''Not just politics, but also our business competitors are responsible for the growing trouble in Bengal,'' Mr Tata said in an interview to a private news channel. The announcement came at a time when the state is on a boil over the Tata's.....
