Bangladeshi couple arrested in the city

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, May 15 (UNI) A Bangladeshi couple was arrested after they were found staying illegally in the city.

Police said Jaheda Nazmal Pokir (23) was working as a bar girl at a hotel in the city while her husband Nazmal Pokir was working as a painter. The couple have a four-year-old son Riyaz and were staying illegally in Boudhnagar area here for the last nine months.

Acting on a tip off, the police yesterday raided their residence and arrested them.

During their interrogation, the couple confessed they are from Bangladesh and had come to Aurangabad via Nagpur after entering India through Kolkata.

Two years back, the city police had raided a hotel and arrested many bar girls of whom 17 were from Bangladesh.

Kuala Lumpur, Jan.15 (ANI): Bangladesh's High Commissioner to Malaysia M. Khairuzzaman has been ordered to return home to face charges over the 1975 assassination of the country's founding father, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.The New Strait Times quoted Bangladesh's Junior Minister for Foreign Affairs Hasan Mahmud as saying that: "A faxed copy is being sent to Khairuzzaman as we speak."The trial, Hasan told the New Straits Times, would start "very soon". He said Foreign Minister Dipu Moni signed the recall.....
