Action sought on culprits involved in MLA attack case

Puducherry, May 15 (UNI) MLAs belonging to various political parties including the ruling Congress and the Opposition AIADMK led by Mr R Vishwanathan (CPI) today appealed to Speaker R Radhakrishnan and Chief Minister N Rangasamy seeking action against those involved in the attack on Indpendent Member J Naryanasamy.

Speaking to newsmen after giving a representation to to the speaker and the chief minister, Mr Vishwanathan said they sought action against the culprits under the National Security Act (NSA) as it was a serious issue.

He claimed the culprits had already been identified and hence there should be no delay in taking action under NSA.

The independent member from Villanoor was allegedly assaulted by a group of people at a funeral procession in Kenuapet Village on Sunday night.
