Rain to occur in Andaman

Pune, May 14 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Gangetic West Bengal, Andaman and Nicobar islands.

They are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, at a few places in Jharkhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh and coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Dry weather will prevail over east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Lakshadweep.

Heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Vidarbha and at isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh. Hot day conditions also prevailed at isolated places in west Rajasthan.

Day temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in some parts of Jammu and Kashmir. The temperatures were appreciably above normal in Assam, Meghalaya and Rayalaseema. They were above normal in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, east Rajasthan, north Madhya Pradesh, coastal Saurashtra, some parts of Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka and in remaining parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh.

They were appreciably to markedly below normal in north Orissa, Bihar, Jharkhand and east Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in west Uttar Pradesh and Haryana and in some parts of Punjab and north Madhya Maharashtra and were below normal in Manipur, Uttaranchal and Himachal Pradesh and in some parts of Gujrat Region and Marathwada.

They were normal over the rest of the country.
