One killed seven injured as bus crashes into hillock in HP

Mandi, May 14 (UNI) One person was killed and seven injured after the bus, they were travelling in, crashed into a hillock in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh late last night, police sources today said.

The accident occurred at Pandoh, around 22 km from here, in the district at about 2200 hrs last night, killing one person on the spot and injuring seven others.

The sources said the bus was on its way to Kullu from Mandi when the accident occurred, adding that a case has been registered and investigations are on.

The dead and the injured were yet to be identified, the sources said.

Beijing, Dec 29: Two consecutive explosions of detonators killed five and injured eight in north China and the death toll was expected to rise as rescuers searched through the rubble of flattened buildings, state media said today. NATO soldier killed in southern Afghanistan

Kabul, Dec 28: A NATO soldier was killed and three injured, one seriously, after a blast caused their vehicle to crash during a reconnaissance mission in southern Afghanistan, the alliance said today. It did not give the nationalities of the soldiers, nor more details of yesterday's incident in Helmand province, a Taliban stronghold. NATO said in a statement it was investigating.
