Kochi, May 14 (UNI) Coming down heavily on the LDF-Government in Kerala, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Leader K Karunakaran today said the government had failed on all fronts and cannot claim to have done anything for the state's development.
Addressing a public rally here, Mr Karunakaran said Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan had lost credibility as the government had failed in providing education, health, electricity, drinking water and stable law and order in the state.
He alleged even the ministers did not heed to Chief Minister's directions in administration.
Regarding the Smart City Project, Mr Karunakaran said the government cannot claim any credit for the project as the ground work for the project was done by the previous governments.
He also criticised the government for the pathetic condition of the SAT Hospital where 43 newborns died due to alleged hospital-acquired infection.
Speaking on the occasion, NCP State President K Muraleedharan said the CBI should investigate the ''proposed deal'' of the previous Oommen Chandy Government regarding the Smart City project.
Referring to the land encroachment in Munnar in Idukki District, Mr Muraleedharan wondered why the government was shying away from ordering a judicial probe into the illegal pocession of government land.
