Mumbai, May 14 (UNI) Noted film actor and director Amol Palekar has signed music composer trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy to compose the tunes of Gulzar's lyrics for his next untitled Hindi film.
Palekar's film is scheduled to go on floors later this month.
Gulzar just rules over his pen; dictates his words and commands emotions through his lines, he said while talking to reporters here today.
He added Gulzar's exceptional imagery, brilliant sense of beats, and precise choice of apt words have been offering a striking treat for the last 50 years.
Shankar Mahadevan of the music director trio was also present at the media interaction and said Palekar had a good music sense.
''The music of 'Paheli' was unforgettable. Similarly, 'Thodasa Roomani Ho Jaaye' had also offered a vivacious track. So when Palekar briefed us about the songs of his next movie, we were very charged.
The song situations were so hilarious that we had to conceive electrifying tunes,'' he said.
Refusing to reveal any details about the film, Palekar quipped that music was going to blaze the charts all the way.'' Actor Om Puri had also tuned in for a stirring rap number, he added.
