24 killed, 20 injured in collision

Adilabad, May 14 (UNI) Twenty four people, including three children and six women were killed, and 20 others injured when a van in which they were travelling collided with a lorry on the national highway near Rolmamida village of Neredigonda mandal in Adilabad district today.

Police said 15 people were killed on the spot while nine succumbed to injuries in a private hospital where the injured were also admitted.

All the victims belonged to Koratical village. The deceased were yet to be identified.

Police said about 50 people were travelling in the bus when the mishap occured. They were on their way to Adilabad to attend a marriage.
