Next assembly polls crucial for JK resolution: Baig

Srinagar, May 11: Former Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister and senior PDP leader Muzaffar Hussain Baig has said the people's verdict in the next Assembly elections in the state would go a long way in resolving the vexed issue.

Addressing a public meeting at Tukapora in Bandipora district, he said the people of far off and neglected areas have been given due share in decision-making and execution of development programmes.

Mr Baig said this has helped in expediting the development activity and ensuring political stability in the state. The biggest change expected to take place was the churning through democratic process where new legitimate claimants of representation and men of substance and clean image would be honoured and those believing in politics of deceit and manipulation were going to perish, he added.
