No to wheeling dealing in UP: Election Commision

Lucknow, May 11: The Election Commission has ensured stringent measures to prevent possible horse trading in Uttar Pradesh and has asked the Central Para Military Forces(CPMF) to stay in the state till May 14.

The EC, in its new directive, has directed the state government to ensure protection to all the newly-elected MLAs so that they could not be influenced by any political group.

Now the 209 companies of CPMF will stay in the.....

Lucknow, May 11: The Bahujan Samaj Party was leading in 15 assembly constituencies while the ruling Samajwadi Party, Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress were lagging behind as the trends for 24 seats poured in minutes after counting began at 0700 hrs.
