Surat, May 7 (UNI) Seven people were killed and 15 others injured in a jeep-tempo collision near Valsad today.
The jeep was carrying a family from Dharampur, near here, when it hit the tempo at Kaparada village in Valsad district.
The mishap occurred at around 0730 hours when a jeep trying to overtake a tempo, collided with the vehicle, police said, adding that among the dead included two brothers, who died on the spot.
The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital, sources said.
The victims were identified as Navanit Patel, Nitesh Bhangi, Ganesh Bhangi, Shailesh Bhangi, Nikul Wadum and Ketan Khagal, among others, sources added.
