Addressing an election meeting here, Ms Malani said, ''TV par dekhte hain UP main hai dum lekin yahan to bijli, paani and sadke teeno hi hain kum'' (I see TV ads claiming UP has good insfrastructure, but in reality the state lacks quality roads, power and safe drinking water).
''Like Bihar, UP has been pushed three ages back by the non-BJP governments. The BJP-Janata Dal (United) alliance government is bringing Bihar on the lines of development. Similarly, a lot needs to be done in UP. For this, the party needs majority. So, I leave the choice in your hands,'' she observed.
The MP noted, ''I have not seen any 'dum' (potential) in UP. But, if you are really concerned about the welfare of the state, please do not get carried away by the attractive slogans of dishonest political parties...vote for BJP, if you want development.'' Recollecting the famous dialogue from Bollywood Blockbuster Sholay, she said ''chal Dhanno aaj teri Basanti ki ijjat ka sawal hai. BJP ko hi jitana hai.'' UNI
