Severe heat wave condition prevail in Haryana

Pune, Apr 18 (UNI) Severe heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated places in Haryana, while heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts Punjab, Rajasthan and in remaining parts of Haryana.

Hot day conditions prevailed in some parts of Madhya Pradesh and at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh. Day temperatures were markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, It was appreciably above normal in Assam, Meghalaya, north Gujarat, interior Saurashtra, northwest Madhya Pradesh, in some parts of Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal and in remaining parts of Haryana, Punjab and of Rajasthan. It was above normal in coastal Saurashtra and northeast Madhya Pradesh.

It was below normal in interior Orissa, south Chattisgarh, in some parts of Telangana and of interior Karnataka. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, north Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Anaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Bihar, south Rajasthan and Gujarat.

Rains have occurred at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh, at many places in Punjab and at a few places in Uttaranchal, Haryana, Madhya Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu and at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh, Vidarbha, Telangana, interior Karnatakla and Andman and Nicobar Islands.

Mainly dry weather prevailed in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Andhra Pradesh and coastal Karnataka.
