Cong names 8 candidates for UP assembly polls

New Delhi, Apr 18: The Central Election Committee (CEC) of the Congress &13;today approved the names of 8 candidates for the seventh phase of the assembly &13;elections in Uttar Pradesh.

According to an AICC release issued here by Mr Oscar Fernandes, Permanent &13;Invitee to the CWC, the candidates are -- Ashok Rajbhar, Katehri, Vedpal Singh &13;Shrinet (in place of Jaybir Singh) Chillupar, Ramnath Kushwaha, Barhaj, Ramayan &13;Yadav (in place of Devener Chauhan) Natthupur, Dr Rana Vijaya Rajbhar, Ghosi, &13;Vipin athak, Gopalpur, Rajbali Yadav, Azamgarh, and Gopal Nishad, Mau.
