Bangalore, Apr 16: Mysore based Orizin Technologies Pvt. Ltd, a leading &13;provider of RFID solutions today announced the launch of Jtrack, a RFID &13;inventory system, for jewellery manufacturers.
Jtrack completely automated the process of taking jewellery inventory. By &13;using RFID based system, manufacturers would be able to collect data from &13;hundreds of items in few seconds. Unlike barcode, a complete tray load of &13;jewellery and RFID tags could be inserted into Orizin's Jtrack and data could &13;be captured from all of them at once. The system eliminates the painstaking and &13;time consuming process of scanning individual items increasing the staff &13;productivity by ten to fifteen times, the Company said in a release here.
''This is yet another first for Orizin, which has already successfully &13;addressed the need of retail, IT assets, Library management'' Mr Prashant &13;Agrawal, CEO of Orizin said in the release adding Jtrack would help jewelers &13;and retailers to drastically reduce the time to take inventory and improve the &13;productivity of the staff.
The company was looking at implementing this product in approx 70 companies in &13;the current fiscal.
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology is a wireless technology used &13;for tracking and identification. It gave capability to every object to be &13;networked, to be identified whenever required without the need of line of &13;sight. RFID was touted as the latest identification technology that overcomes &13;several limitations as inherited by traditional barcode system like tracking &13;stationery items one at a time, inability to detect hidden items and so on.
The company also provided other products for Jewellery segments like hand-held &13;inventory reader that could collect data from hundreds of jewelleries and &13;diamonds in few seconds for stock verification, and RFID tags of various &13;dimensions for tagging jewelleries and diamonds.
