'Narayana Murthy commits unpardonable crime'

Bangalore, Apr 13: Karnataka Home Minister M P Prakash today said that IT &13;giant Infosys Mentor N R Narayana Murthy has committed unpardonable crime by &13;showing 'disrespect' to the National Anthem at a function held in the presence &13;of President A P J Abdul Kalam in Mysore recently.Replying to a matter raised by Kannada Chaluvali Vatal Paksha leader Vatal &13;Nagraj in the Assembly, he said that a Mysore based Advocate Bhaskar had filed &13;a complaint against Mr Murthy in this regard. Police have registered a case &13;under non-cognisable category and inquiry was on, he added.

He said any individual, however big he might be, should realise the limits &13;while speaking in public. Mr Murthy had expressed his opinion to the Media &13;later at a press conference after the function was over, he clarified.

Mr Murthy on April Eight after the function told press conference that "infact &13;we had arranged for five people to sing the Anthem.

But then we canceled it as we have foreigners on-board here. They should not &13;be embarrassed while we sing the Anthem."
