Demo on Apr 9 over FIR against Rajnath Singh

New Delhi, Apr 8: The BJP will hold a demonstration at Jantar Mantar here tomorrow protesting the foisting of false cases against party President Rajnath Singh.

BJP Parliamentary Party spokesman Vijay Kumar Malhotra said the FIR was discriminatory.

He said there were umpteen violations by many political parties ranging from Ms Sonia Gandhi, Mr Mulayam Singh Yadav, Lalu Prasad but no FIR was ever filed against any party president.

The protestors will later proceed to the Election Commission, Mr Malhotra added.

Meanwhile, in another development BJP Vice-President Mukthar Abbas Naqvi is appearing before the Election Commission in response to the EC filing an FIR against party President Rajnath Singh.
