New Delhi, Apr 6: The BJP will today submit before the Election
Commission its reply to the notice served on the party regarding the
controversial CD, containing ''objectionable'' remarks against Muslims
and visuals of Godhra arson and Babri demolition, released in Lucknow
on Tuesday.
The delegation, led by BJP Vice-President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi,
will submit the reply to the notice in which it had asked UP Chief
Electoral Officer to file an FIR against BJP President Rajnath Singh,
senior UP BJP leaders Lalji Tandon and Kesri Nath Tripathi besides all
those behind the production, release, distribution and display of the
CD.
The BJP was asked to file its reply by this evening.
Senior BJP leaders, including Rajnath Singh, M Venkaiah Naidu, BJP
General Secretary Arun Jaitley and Muktar Abbas Naqvi held a meeting to
finalise the draft reply to be submitted to the EC.
