Bangalore: Akashvani to air new prog from Apr 10

Bangalore, Apr 6: The All India Radio, Bangalore, will broadcast a unique programme titled 'Amrutha Sampada' from April 10 to enlighten people about uses of medicinal plants that could be grown easily.

The 30-minute weekly programme, produced by Station Programme Officer S R Bhat, would give information about growing medicinal plants in small houses, their uses and how these could be converted into commercial ones. The programme would also reveal how and for which diseases these plants could be utilised.

In the programme aired between 1435 and 1505 hrs on Tuesdays, special experts and ayurvedic doctors would participate. Listeners could send in their queries to the Station Director to clear their doubts, on the use of medicinal plants and about growing them in their backyard, according to a release from AIR Bangalore station here today.
