Rahul to address public meeting at Bharthana

Lucknow, Apr 2: Congress MP from Amethi Rahul Gandhi will address a public meeting in Bharthana assembly seat in Etawah district tomorrow in support of Congress candidate where Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav is locked in a four-cornered contest. According to the revised scheduled released by party spokesman Virendra Madan here today, Rahul will start from Jhansi tomorrow morning and after camapigning in Mahoba for the party candidate will reach Bharthana at 1240 hrs.

Rahul will address the public meeting at Gopiram Mill ground in Bharthana and later will reach Kanpur at 1400 hrs, where he will visit couple of constituencies.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi is also expected to address a public meeting in Etawah district on April 5.

Altogether 14 candidates are in the fray for the prestigious Yadav dominated Bharthana assembly seat where the chief minister is poised against Congress candidate Ajay Kumar Yadav, BJP's Prem Singh Yadav, BSP's Shiv Prasad Yadav and RLD's Karan Singh.Polling for the seat will be held on April 7.

Mulayam Singh Yadav is also contesting from Gunnaur seat in Badaun district where the polling will be held on April 18.
