The world looks to India for leadership: Ravi Shankar Prasad

New Delhi, Mar 22 (UNI) There has been a sea change in the perception of the world about India- from an aid receiver it now wants the country to provide leadership to the global community.

Be it Corporate leadership or soft leadership in the area of morality, peace or non-violence, the world is veering around to the view that India must lead the comity of nations.

This was the core of the message given by Mr Ravi Shankar Prasad, National Spokesperson of the BJP and Minister for Information and Broadcasting in the NDA regime at the award giving ceremony by Mr Prasad at the Amity Business School in NOIDA.

Mr Prasad, who is also a member of the Rajya Sabha, had a word of advice for the students. They must step into the real world with confidence, which should emanate from their professional competence, the pride in the company where they get placement and the great nation that is India.

He said the Indian Corporate has come into its own and one looks at awe to find out each day the new overseas company acquired by the domestic manufacturer. Such is the level of self- confidence of India Inc and the financial muscle it has acquired. In fact, last year the outward flow of Foreign Direct Investment exceeded the inward flows.

Mr Prasad's ideas met with whole-hearted support of the large number of management experts present on the occasion, including the 40-strong faculty of the Amity Business School.

In his address, Dr Ashok K Chauhan, Founder President of RBEF and AKC Group of Companies, endorsed these ideas and said strategy was critical to succeed in any venture.

Mr Prasad later gave leadership awards to the alumni who are now employed in leading Indian and foreign Companies.
