Kolkata, Mar 22 (UNI) The West Bengal Pradesh Congress has chalked up several agitational programmes against the Left Front goverment to protest the Nandigram incident.
" We have instructed our party workers to wear black badges and set up martyr's stand on March 24 in memory of those killed on March 14 in police firing. A silent protest march would be taken out from the party office to Mahatma Gandhi statue on March 27. The party would organise a rally here on April 21, " PCC acting president Pradip Bhattacharjee told newspersons here today.
He said the Congress could not sit as a mute spectator after the March 14 incident and termed the Nandigram peasants movement against the ruling government as "historic".
" We have prepared a land use map and would publish within a few days and the government can easily follow that map, " he said.
