NFADE to stage dharna on Apr 12

Puducherry, Mar 22: The National Federation of All India Radio and Doordarshan Employees (NFADE) will organise a dharna here on April 12 to press their demands.

NFADE state coordinator K Arun Mozhi Selvam in a statement today said they had urged the Information and Broadcasting Ministry to make certain amendments to the Prasar Bharati Act 1990.

He said the Centre should take control of the movable and immovable assets of AIR and DDK so that Prasar Bharti could take independent decisions as per the guidelines of the government.

He also demanded scrapping of section 11 of the Act.

Bangalore, May 11: Kaveri Telecom Products, a Bangalore based leader in Antenna and Radio Frequency Products has acquired a Canadian firm DCI Digital Communications to meet the growing demand for filters and other telecom products.For the Rs 50 crore Company expecting to double its turnover to this year, the acquisition was the second as it had earlier acquired another Canadian firm Til-Tek, a specialised Antenna firm. Together the two companies would enable Kaveri Telecom to penetrate North American and European.....

Washington, Oct 29: Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton has dominated news coverage of the 2008 White House race, partly due to negative segments about her on conservative talk radio, according to a new study released to day.
