Mix trend in sugar prices

Navi Mumbai, Mar 22 (UNI) A mixed trend was observed in sugar prices today, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants' Association said.

Small grade remained steady on moderate demand while medium grade rose by Rs five per quintal on fresh demand.

Ex-mill small grade increased by Rs five on better buying support while Medium grade eased by Rs five on sluggish demand.

Following were the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,490/1,510, Medium grade: Rs 1,505/1,555; Ex-mill: Small grade: Rs 1,475/1,485, Medium grade: Rs 1,490/1,505.
