Medical camp for scribes on Mar 24

Chennai, Mar 22: A free medical camp will be held for journalists here on March 24.

The camp will be jointly organised by the Tamil Nadu unit of the National Union of Journalists and the Lister Metropolis Clinical Laboratories.

Minister of State for Railways R Velu will inaugurate the camp, NUJ State unit General Secretary C Balasubramaniam said in a release today.

Manipur: Assault on journalists condemned

Imphal, Dec 12: The media organisations of Manipur have condemned the assault on two senior journalists of a local vernacular daily, Matamgi Yakairol, on December 10 midnight by unknown miscreants. The two journalists, Yendrembam Mangi Singh and Haobam Gopal Singh, were assaulted on the night of December 10 when they were returning home from office.
