Man arrested at NSCBI airport

Kolkata, Mar 22 (UNI) Immigration authorities at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International (NSCBI) airport today arrested a man claiming to be a Tibetan refugee for trying to travel to Frankfurt by a Lufthansa flight with false travel document.

Official sources said the 39-year-old refugee possessed Australian travel document in which his photograph did not match with him.

Moreover, the stamp of arrival of the Immigration authorities at the Delhi airport on his travel documents were found to be false.

Bomb scare at Kolkata International airport

Kolkata, Aug 08: Security was tightened at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International (NSCBI) airport today after a bomb scare.Airport sources said an unidentified caller rang up Assistant Commissioner, Customs, around 2 PM, warning him in English that two Bangladesh Biman flights from Dhaka contained RDX explosives.However, one of the flights PG 091 from Dhaka had already arrived at 10 AM and subsequently left for Bangladesh capital.The second flight PG 093 is also expected from Dhaka in.....
