Francophone song festival comes to Mumbai

Mumbai, Mar 22 (UNI) Twenty Francophone artists from different parts of the globe converged in the metropolis and engaged themselves in a musical encounter with young Indian singers at a 'Musical regalia'.

The gala event was organised by 'Alliance Francaise of Bombay' in association with 'Art de la Chanson Francophone' and the Alliances Francaise of Romania, Bulgaria and Netherlands.

The event commemorated the 'World Francophonic Day' on Tuesday at the National Centre Of Performing Arts (NCPA) here.

Dominique Cerejo sang 'Dhoom again' from the Bollywood Chartbuster 'Dhoom 2'. Consul Generals of several French speaking and non-French speaking countries were among those attending the event.

Alexandra Fit from Romania, Ayumi from Japan, Vanina Michel, Sivadier and Lucie Fouquet from France, Maria Bachvarova from Bulgaria and Steve Barakatt from Quebec also performed at the event.

British artists form coalition to demand more power
