Aer Lingus to announce new US routes on Friday

BRUSSELS, Mar 22 (Reuters) Irish airline Aer Lingus will announce three new routes to the United States on Friday following an EU-U.S. ''open skies'' agreement, Ireland's transport minister said.

''Following the deal, we will announce tomorrow three new routes to San Francisco, Washington (Dulles) and Orlando,'' Martin Cullen told reporters in Brussels.

The service to Dulles will begin in September, while the other two services will start in October. The minister also said current restrictions on flights in and out of Ireland, known as the ''Shannon Stop'', will be phased out.

Agartala, Aug 10: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced special facilities to the senior citizens of Northeastern states in order to give better customer care for them. As per new benefit senior citizens, who are staying alone, the BSNL will arrange to test their telephone lines daily and will also attend any fault of their telephone lines or any complaint on priority basis. The users would require to dial a toll free number 1500 for registering their telephone.....

Follow transparency guidelines: ECI to NE

Agartala, Jan 15: With a view to ensuring transparency and preventing fraud votings during the polling process in the Northeastern states, the Election Commission of India (ECI) would henceforth follow a new procedure. Referring to the ECI guidelines, Tripura Chief Secretary Shashi Prakash told the sources here today that the ECI would now adopt the application of indelible ink (a line running from top of the nail to the bottom of first joint of the left forefinger) in the forthcoming Assembly.....
