12 offices in Gujarat get ISO certificates

Ahmedabad, Mar 22 (UNI) The Ahmedabad District Employment Exchange Office was among the 12 offices in Gujarat to have received ISO-9001-2000 certificate after the computerisation of employment exchange offices in Asia for the first time, ensuring transperancy in all exchanges across the state.

The Ahmedabad District Employement Exchange Office was granted the certificate on March third by Assistant Secretary (employement) N K Patel in Gandhinagar, an official release said today.

''In order to ensure transperancy in the functioning of all employement exchange offices in Gujarat, the state government has hosted a website www.talimrojgar.org,'' Employement Exchange officer S R Vijayvargiya said.

Latehar, Mar 13: Three persons of a marriage party were killed and seven others seriously injured when a jeep in which they were travelling collided with a truck near Borsidag village under Chandwa police station in Jharkhand's Latehar district today.The jeep carrying the marriage party, including the newly-wed couple, was going from the state capital to Palamu when it collided with the truck that left two persons killed on the spot, police said.The other person succumbed to injury in hospital at.....

Kohima, Mar 9: Three civilians and four NSCN(K) cadres were injured when the rival groups of NSCN were engaged in a fierce gun battle at Satakha town in Nagaland's Zunheboto district yesterday, official sources today said.
