UGC sanctions staff college to Urdu university

Hyderabad, Mar 21 (UNI) The University Grants Commission (UGC) has sanctioned a UGC Academic Staff college for Maulana Azad National Urdu university, located in the capital city.

UGC Vice-Chairperson Professor Mool Chand Sharma would inaugurate the college on March 24, according to a press release here.

The staff college would begin its activities by conducting the first orientation course on the same day at the university campus.

3 TN NGOs to get grants from Japan Govt

Chennai, July 21: Three Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) will receive grants from the Government of Japan to undertake welfare projects to uplift the disadvantaged. Society for Serving Humanity (SSH), League for Education and Development (LEAD) and Amar Seva Sangam (ASS) from Tamil Nadu, would receive funds, Office of the Consulate-General of Japan said in a release here today. SSH would receive 84,832 dollars for construction of its own building, LEAD would get 85,830.....

New Delhi, Mar 6 (ANI): The Delhi High Court on Friday granted a week's interim bail to Sanjeev Nanda who is undergoing a five year jail term in connection with the BMW hit-and-run case.Justice Kailash Gambhir granted a week's interim bail to Nanda so that he could meet his 90-year-old ailing grandfather, former Naval Chief S.
