Sub-Collector transferred

Puducherry,Mar 21(UNI)Mr.N.Vasantha Kumar,I A S,sub-collector (Revenue)(North) has been transferred and posted as collector of Karaikal district.

According to an offical release here this followed Mr.Sudhir Kumar I A S ,Karaikal district collector being deputed for pursuing one year "First Post Graduate Programme in Public Management Policy" at the Indian Institute of Management(IIM), Ahmedbad from April 1.

The order will come into effect from March 27.

Violent incidents mar final phase of polling

New Delhi, May 13 (ANI): On the final day of polling for the Lok Sabha elections, incidents of violence were reported from 24-Parganas district of West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh's Bijnore and Uttarakhand's Dehradun.A Trinamool Congress worker, Shaminul Haque, was killed hours before polling began and at least 10 others were injured in clashes with CPM activists.....
