Hisar, Mar 21 (UNI) Eight Rajasthan policemen were attacked by a group of miscreants when they raided village Data, near Hansi in Haryana, to nab three proclaimed offenders.
As soon as the police party, including an assistant sub-inspector (ASI), reached village Data to nab Subhash, Gajja and Sakindra wanted in crimes including thefts, in Hanumangarh in Rajasthan, the relatives and neighbours of the accused surrounded and attacked them with batons, police sources here said.
ASI Lala Ram ASI was hurt badly in the attack and was rushed to Hansi hospital where he was reported to be out of danger.
On receiving the information, Haryana police sent more force to arrest the miscreants and arrested a few villagers. The police was still camping there as a precautionary measure, they said.
