Four tourists injured in road accident

Shimla, Mar 21 (UNI) Four tourists got injured in a road accident when the car in which they were travelling plunged into a gorge near Timber Trail on the national Highway 22 at Parwanoo last night, police said today.

Police sources told UNI that a Dehli bound car carrying a family of five persons, including a woman, fell into a 150 meter gorge when its driver lost the control of the vehicle last night.

All of them were hospitalised in PGI Chandigarh, police source added.

Beijing, Dec 29: Two consecutive explosions of detonators killed five and injured eight in north China and the death toll was expected to rise as rescuers searched through the rubble of flattened buildings, state media said today. Yesterday's blasts destroyed 10 rooms in four buildings in a residential area in Jining, a remote city of 200,000 in Inner Mongolia, Xinhua news agency said. NATO soldier killed in southern Afghanistan

Kabul, Dec 28: A NATO soldier was killed and three injured, one seriously, after a blast caused their vehicle to crash during a reconnaissance mission in southern Afghanistan, the alliance said today. It did not give the nationalities of the soldiers, nor more details of yesterday's incident in Helmand province, a Taliban stronghold. NATO said in a statement it was investigating.
